  My experience with Baker was great from beginning to end. They responded promptly to my service request and had Eric Young at my house the next morning. Eric was knowledgeable, thorough and polite. He diagnosed the problem quickly, gave me all the options and fixed the problem on the spot. I will not hesitate to use them again.

  Eric walked in with a smile and was extremely professional during entire visit. Eric explained the functions of the furnace in details I could understand, followed up with emailed notes. He inspected, cleaned and made me feel safe with my current furnace. I would highly recommend a relationship with Baker. Even after my solar install their customer service teams are top notch.

Extremely knowledgeable he wasted no time addressing my issue and had it resolved almost immediately. I would definitely ask for Eric to perform any additional service or repair needs.   I was very impressed with Tom Holmes w Baker Home Electric. He was exceptionally professional, very thorough and knowledgeable at an attractive price/value. Tom went well beyond the call of duty to help me fix my thermostat problems. I’m always sensitive to being sold more than I need when a new service technician suggests options. He was very courteous and made suggestions that were practical and sensible given my situation. I highly recommend Tom and Baker for any HVAC project.   Our technician, Eric Young, Was superb! He was knowledgeable, thorough, well spoken and engaging. He explained the details of the work he was performing and alerted us on items that needed further attention. We purchased a maintenance contract for his services for the next three years.   We are very impressed with the caliber of employees this company employs. It is a BIG investment for anyone who is putting in solar/batteries, etc., so you better get the best and most established company you can. There are solar company horror stories about “here today, gone tomorrow” everywhere you turn, but you won’t be one of them if you go with this 80 year old company. I chose them because they did a huge job for my employer 25+ years ago and I was a part of that build out. The company was very pleased. They’re still providing great service. A VERY special shout-out to Felix Ortiz and Bobby (sorry Bobby, I don’t know your last name). All the other folks who were here were great too. It was apparent that they enjoyed working with each other. Felix offered (and did) to paint the outside conduits to match our house. He was was not required to do it, but he did it to make us happy. You don’t get service like that anymore. Even if we have to swap out a light switch Baker is going to do it! Good job, Baker!

  First time using Baker Electric. But will use them and recommend them to everyone. Communication was perfect, even called to make sure my unit was no under warranty so I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. The tech Eric Young came out on time and checked my A/C unit he let me know the issues, as the unit has warranty but just for parts. He was nice, knowledgeable and friendly.   Every step along the way with Baker to install solar has been smooth and efficient. They were straightforward, honest, and kept me up-to-date on everything. I researched solar companies and interviewed 3 of them. I was very impressed with Baker, plus they had the best reviews. Their prices were similar to other companies but they gave me an extra $1,000 off (someone referred me) and I am also going to receive $250 for a referral. I also took advantage of their no down, no interest, no payment offer that gives me 18 months to pay my solar installation costs. That allowed me to use my savings for a new roof and fence that I desperately needed. Go with Baker…you will have no regrets!

  We were very happy with Baker. They came right away to give us estimate and answered all of our questions clearly and responded to our phone calls and emails right away. They got the permit and started the roofing and installation sooner than we were expecting. The installers were very good and did a great job. We even decided to use them to fully renew our roofing. The only problem we had was waiting for a month for solar system to be energized by SDG&E. I am recommending Baker to all of our friends who do not have solar system.   I give Baker Electric 5 stars and would give them more if I could! They are a first class outfit. In business for almost 80 years and I can see why! I chose them partly because of that and partly because I was so impressed by their salesman Wamidh Shamoun. He was knowledgeable, honest, not pushy and helpful from the first call thru the entire installation process. He took the time to check and explain my pool pump and how it functioned. I increased the number of panels (my choice) and signed the paperwork. All virtually. I was given a 'portal' to track my progress, a payment schedule etc. I was quoted up to 3 months for install and completion because of possible delays with permitting and inspections - which they have no control over. Wendy Wilkes was my project lead and very responsive throughout the entire project. I signed the contract on June 7th by June 10 my site inspection (first step) was completed. Then the plans were drawn up and sent for my approval. Next, the permit application. Once it was approved the installation date was set. It would have been July 1, but I was out of town so it had to be July 14. Sergio was my contact for that step and I was provided with a date confirmation and details explaining each step of the install. The install team (Jose, Fernando, Kiance and Luis) were on time, worked every minute they were at my house and cleaned up as if no one had even been here. They arrived with their own trailer that contained all the equipment and even had a portable toilet delivered so once I met with Jose, who explained everything step, I never had contact with anyone again until the project was done - all in one day! I have little to no attic, so the entire installation was outside - no one had to come into my house! The next step was for the City inspection. It was estimated to take up to 2 weeks and took place long before the 2 week estimate. The City inspection was completed on Friday afternoon and by Monday morning SDG&E contacted me saying "that your City/County inspection has been received and is being processed by San Diego Gas & Electric's Net Energy Metering Department. The next step is for SDG&E to inspect your Solar system. We will conduct your inspection within the next two weeks." By 3:08 pm Monday (that same day) I received this notice from SDG&E "Congratulations on going solar! You've been approved for "Permission to Operate" (PTO) and your Net Energy Metering billing will begin on 07/xx/2022. We want to help you make the most of the renewable energy you generate. Start with successful solar tips in our attached guide". In less than an hour Baker Electric connected me to the Enphase app and website and I am happily watching my system produce energy. It is fascinating to watch! I HIGHLY recommend Baker Electric to anyone looking to add Solar!

  I installed solar with Baker Home Energy 4 year ago. While monitoring the dc output of the panel array, I noticed one of the 20 panels we installed had a low output level. I called Baker and they quickly dispatched a technician to evaluate the problem. All vendors look good when things are going well. My metric for a good vendor is how they respond to problems. Baker gets excellent marks in this department. They continued to follow up with me during the entire warranty repair process. No followup on my part was required. When initially selecting a solar vendor, Baker was not the lowest bidder, but was on the lower end of the spectrum. My selection was based upon their technical expertise pre sale, and the hope that their post sale service would be adequate. They weren't adequate, they were excellent. I never post Yelp reviews, but based upon my experience with Baker post sale support, I made an exception. Thank you Baker.

  We recently had Baker Electric install our solar panels. From start to finish the crews have been great and had excellent communication. The roofing crew lead by Alejandro was awesome! Friendly and thorough and made sure to leave the property cleaner than they found it. Chris the lead electrician was very professional and courteous. We are waiting for our connection and hope it goes as flawless as the rest of the project.

  We recently had Baker Electric install a solar system on our house. From start to finish the crews, who came were; professional, considerate, provided information regarding every aspect of the install, and left the property clean each day. Since we have a very fragile tile roof, we had to do a picture frame installation. The crew that completed our roof work were exceptional! Alejandro Barajas and his crew:Alberto,Elijah,Luis H.,Andrew,Justice, and Javier V. were amazing! They took pictures, pointed out issues where their could be future problems, replaced some broken tiles, always with a smile! These men, as well as the installers, is why we would refer Baker to anyone who is considering solar!

  The job has now been completed. I can honestly say that this is the best experience I have ever had with any contractor. Every crew showed up on time, explained what they were going to do, and went about their jobs very professionally. At the end of each day they cleaned up perfectly. Thank you Justin Escobedo and your crew for a job well done installing the solar panels.I would recommend Baker Electric without hesitation to any of my friends.   After many years of debating whether to go solar, my wife and I finally made the plunge and installed it using Baker Electric and we could not be happier! We took appointments from two "other" companies and none came close to the professionalism that Baker provided. With the COVID Pandemic as the background I set my expectations low on the response time, but to my surprise Baker reached out to me quickly and worked around my schedule for the initial presentation. To make a long story short, none of the other companies came close to the preparation on my house for that initial meeting (done over Zoom, other companies wanted to have the conversation in person). Meital (Baker Solar Energy Consultant) took the time to answer all of my questions, even to this day! She and the rest of the Baker team are amazing and we continually to be impressed by their professionalism and workmanship. In the evaluation process, we were told that we needed a new roof (which was not a surprise to us since we knew we had leaks) and Bakers' excellence is also shared with their roofing contractor. Needless to say we were thoroughly impressed with the workmanship of the roofers and our solar install was completed in one day! We will definitely use Baker for any future energy products!

  We recently hired Baker Electric Home Energy for a new solar system on our house, as well as to install a new a/c unit and furnace in our attic. My wife and I are very pleased the company as a whole. The salesmen (Donald and Alexander) were very knowledgeable and not high pressured. They both walked us through the entire design process of our new systems and we relied on their knowledge and expertise.

  We got our solar installed February of 2019 by Baker. We got quotes from two other companies. Baker's quote came in the middle, but I felt like the value and service would be higher than the other two. The installation was perfect. The crew worked with our requests to have the conduit run flush on the inside of our attic (we use it for storage) and our panels can barely be seen from the front of our house. I was happy that I was able to choose the location of our inverter, as well. I would absolutely recommend Baker to close friends and family, and would go with them for our next house.

  When our neighbors installed their solar panels I stopped to ask them about their install and the company they choose, Baker Electric Home Energy. They could not say enough good things about them and everything they said was absolutely true. Baker Electric, founded in 1938, is a fourth generation family owned business and is the parent company of Baker Electric Home Energy. The fact they are an established company with a long history of excellence was part of the determining factor in choosing them.   When we were shopping for a solar panel system a year ago, we got a variety of quotes, but from the reviews and impressions of Brian Bastien who came to our house, we were sold. The whole process went super smooth and the installation was super clean. When we started installation, we indicated that we didn't want conduits everywhere, and didn't completely want the solar panels visible, and the installers did everything we asked!
