  We researched solar, got very nervous about the various schemes out there. After meeting with Gecko representative, Josh Delgadillo we did not feel "handled" or sold to. It was a professional presentation and facts were given, not a snow-job!!! We also needed a new roof, which they were able to take care of. From the plans to the completion, everyone answered my questions, usually within 24 hours, and job was done professionally by all workers! Julian Tejeda was out contact throughout the build and helped the process go really smoothly. Alan (don't know last name) was our solar installer and was also great to work with! Absolutely no complaints!!! When we hit a snag, they just worked through everything with us. Communication was excellent!! Definitely recommend this company!!!

  The whole Gecko Solar team took great care of us during our solar and roof install, but I especially want to call out Antonio and his crew that installed our solar system. They showed up early in the pouring rain and stayed late to make sure the job got done right. I'm impressed with the level of detail and attention they paid to things like conduit routes and equipment placement to make sure it will look and function well. Thanks guys!

  Gecko Solar is the perfect Solar Company. We went through getting three bids and Gecko wasn't the lowest but close and because of their reputation, professionalism and willingness to work with us to get the best system for us we chose them. We are so happy we did. We took our time selecting Gecko then we wanted to get the system installed immediately. They are a great example of under promise and over deliver. They stated it could take as much as 90 days because of the rush of homeowners trying to beat the new SDG&E NEM 3 billing scheme. We are so happy it took around a month to be up and running. Try but you won't find a better solar installation company. We are happy customers.

  Note: I'm waiting for PTO with my solar system, so this review reflects my experience to date thus far. Had a great experience with Don Inman when I was doing my initial research on solar. He was responsive, helpful, informative, and friendly. When I finally decided to go with Gecko Solar, he was still very communicative and I had a good transition to the project team.

  They did the electrical work and put the solar panels up on the roof. Arrived on time....explained everything to me,,,,continued giving me info when the power needed to be off....etc. Clean job and very courteous Gecko Solar staff....Highly recommend!!

  Gecko knocked my solar and battery project out of the park. They designed my dream system and took care of all my concerns. The installation team was great. My solar panels look amazing soaking up the sunshine. My SPAN smart electric panel gives me incredible control over my home's energy.   We put $40,000 in solar on our house with Sullivan and with that owner's indiscretions bankrupting the business we have had nowhere to turn when there has been issues. I reached out to Gecko to help with an issue and they took care of everything!! He even called to check on everything after my issue was resolved. I would highly recommend this business!

  Gecko was consistent, transparent, and professional from start to finish. They were not the cheapest bid I received, but were in the ballpark of others. The team is very communicative through a portal and email. I'd recommend them to those interested in residential solar.

Our home is 29 years old and we plan to live here for a long time, so we decided to have Gecko replace our roof (lift and lay) and install solar.   I am so grateful and happy that I picked Gecko from 4 bids for my solar installation. The other 3 companies did not recognize that my roof tiles would require special treatment. Everyone I dealt with at Gecko was professional, courteous, and happy to explain to be me all the details I wanted to know, especially Manny Breceda my installation guru and Alec Huettinger my sales rep. I felt comfortable with everything that was done throughout the installation. Now I am addicted to my cell phone so that I can see how much more electricity I am generating than what I am using!

  Received several quotes when looking into getting solar, running the gamut in pricing. Gecko was referred to me by a relative and they definitely hit the Goldilocks spot (didn't try and give me a cheap price that I know would lead to shoddy work, or didn't try and rip me off like a couple other companies tried to).   Honestly, we did not feel like we had to do a lot of research when it came to getting solar. We've always heard that Gecko is the best and we understand they've been in San Diego for nearly 100 years, plus it helps that they sponsor the San Diego Blues Festival we've been attending since it's beginning.

  This review is to praise Gecko and its employees for an exceptional solar installation experience. We recently had 25 LG Solar panels placed on our two story home. Gecko is to be praised for training it solar employees so that they become expert in one of the following seven steps required for a successful solar installation (home site survey; solar system design; obtaining required city permits; solar panel installation; city solar panel inspection and approval; turning on solar power; and monitoring the system with LG solar software.

  We had several quotes for both roofing and solar. In the end we chose Gecko after comparing the warranties, reputation, quality of workmanship, and responsiveness. During the bid process they were quick answer our questions and be fully transparent about what we should expect. They were not the lowest bid, but they were far from the expensive.   A friend of mine introduced me to San Diego Solar Broker. They provide solar panels and inverters. They send Victor over from 120 miles away. Their products run without much maintenance and reviewing. The performance is great and I'm extremely happy with SD Solar Broker. Of course it wipes out my electric bill and they also have great warranty.

  Victor installed the system at our home in San Diego. We have 39 panels. The installation and permitting process worked out relatively smooth. Victor and his team resolved every issue very professional. No BS straight to the point. During the process i paid them to install two electric vehicle chargers. It was indeed a very clean job, not a mickey mouse job. They are very patient with my difficult schedule and accommodated my times when i needed to meet with them.   I have been considering going solar for a while now. I met with several solar contractors in the San Diego area but I was not sold yet. My neighbor introduced me to Victor and we had a nice conversation about where we see the solar industry going towards and the benefits of it. Victor and his team were very professional; his estimates were spot-on as well. It was a quick turnaround for the size of the project.
